"The innovation portal is meant for all users with an interest in Innovation, whether they are the innovators or the industry which will incorporate the innovations or the end users of the innovation."

Department of Science Technology, Govt. of India, CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and Innovators will be the lead stake holders in this portal.

It will also help the other way, i.e. the industry may state their needs and the community will try for its solution. The portal will be source for innovator's other needs also, like patent documentation and legal procedures etc. Thus the Innovation Portal will be one of the vital contributions to the Indian industry.
